Contract negoiations begin between Eastern Michigan University and EMU Federation of Teachers.

The Eastern Michigan University Federation of Teachers is proud to announce the winner of our second Labor Lives Scholarship Essay contest. Anketse Kassa is a Junior at Eastern Michigan University and originally from Ethiopia. Currently she studies dietetics. She plans to attend graduate school and teach while working on a doctoral degree. Anketse hopes to focus her studies on AIDs research and eventually return to Africa to educate people about AIDs and improve the quality of life.
